Governor-elect to speak at RDC’s annual conference

The two leading candidates for governor, Lt. Gov. Fran Ulmer and Sen. Frank Murkowski, R-Alaska, have agreed to speak at the Resource Development Council for Alaska’s annual conference at the Sheraton Anchorage Hotel on Nov. 21 and 22.
RDC’s Carl Portman told PNA recently that the governor-elect will speak at the keynote luncheon on Nov. 22.
Among others, confirmed speakers for Alaska Resources 2003 include Randy Ponder, TotalFinaElf; Mark Sexton, Evergreen Resources; Mark Hanley, public affairs manager for Alaska, Anadarko Petroleum; Tom Homza, Alaska manager, EnCana; Jim Dodson, vice president, Andex Resources; Kevin Meyers, president, ConocoPhillips Alaska; Gary Carlson, senior vice president, Forest Oil; Jim Weeks, president, Winstar; Bo Darrah, president, Alaska Venture Capital Group; G. The conference will convene with a session titled “Alaska’s Independents and New Majors: The Changing Face of Oil in Alaska.” The introductory speech will be given by Ken Boyd, former director of the Alaska Division of Oil and Gas.
