First annual Morris Thompson golf classic tees off July 10

The first annual Morris Thompson Memorial Golf Classic will tee off in Fairbanks July 10 at the Chena Bend golf course on Fort Wainwright.

Proceeds from the two-day event will go to the Doyon Foundation scholarships for Alaska Native students.

Thirty-six teams of four will compete for a grand prize of golfing at St. Andrews in Scotland.

Registration and several levels of sponsorship are open until June 11. For information contact Angela Ludwick at the Doyon Foundation, (907) 459-2050.
