Public meetings set on Healy license

The Alaska Department of Natural Resources, Division of Oil and Gas has scheduled two public meetings in Healy on the proposed Healy basin exploration license.
At a Sept. 21 meeting, at 7 p.m. at the Tri-Valley Community Center, division staff will present information and answer questions on the proposed license and Usibelli Coal Mine Inc. will talk about potential exploration activities.
Public comments will be taken at an Oct. 10 7 p.m. meeting, which will also be held at the Tri-Valley Community Center in Healy.
Comments on the preliminary best interest finding on the project, released Aug. 31, must be received by 5 p.m. Oct. 31 to be considered in the final best interest finding.
