BP said in February that a 22-year BP executive, Neil Ritson, had been named as exploration asset manager for BP Exploration (Alaska) Inc.
Ritson’s position is one of two new jobs created at BP Exploration (Alaska) after Eric Luttrell, formerly vice president of exploration and new development, left the state in September to become director of BP’s new oil business development asset group in London. Octavio Pastrana was named last year as asset manager for Alaska new developments.
Ritson was most recently business unit manager of BP's Norway operations, where he managed both exploration and development activities.
A geophysicist by training, Ritson has held a variety of technical and management positions since beginning his career with BP in London. He has also worked in Europe, the Middle East, Australia and Asia. Member of BP's Global exploration team In addition to his duties as exploration asset manager for BP in Alaska, Ritson is a member of BP's global exploration management team which is responsible for the worldwide allocation of exploration resources and accountable for performance. ...
