Division extends BIF comment date to Nov. 4

The Alaska Department of Natural Resources, Division of Oil and Gas, has extended the comment period for the preliminary written finding of the director for a Gulf of Alaska oil and gas exploration license.

In the preliminary finding, released Aug. 2, the division set an Oct. 4 date for comments; in an Aug. 26 release, the division extended the comment period by a month: It now closes at 5 p.m., Nov. 4.

The preliminary finding is in favor of granting a 10-year oil and gas exploration to Cassandra Energy Corp. on 65,773 state owned acres along the Gulf of Alaska coastline (see story in Aug. 11 issue of Petroleum News).
