Energy Economics association to meet

The Anchorage Association for Energy Economics will meet at noon Sept. 10 at the BP Energy Center to hear a presentation by attorney Louisiana Cutler of K&L Gates LLC on legal issues associated with North Slope shale oil.

Cutler has more than 20 years experience with complex litigation with an emphasis on environmental issues and oil and gas taxation and royalties.

She will present issues she has identified with Alaska’s oil and gas lease terms as they relate to shale oil and how she thinks they may be fixed, as well as taxation issues that may arise when the state’s current system is applied to shale oil development.
