AOGCC moves hearings to LIO

The Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission has moved hearings scheduled for Aug. 27 and Sept. 1 from its Anchorage offices to the Anchorage Legislative Information Office at 716 W. 4th Avenue.

The Aug. 27 hearing is on a request from Prudhoe Bay unit operator BP Exploration (Alaska) that the commission authorize CO2 injection for enhanced recovery purposes and to increase the allowable gas offtake from the Prudhoe oil pool.

The Sept. 1 hearing in on a request for the establishment of pool rules governing development of the proposed Thomson oil pool by Point Thomson operator ExxonMobil Alaska Production.

Both hearings begin at 9 a.m.

In another update from the commission, an Aug. 4 hearing on an enforcement action against Cook Inlet Energy for safety valve system violations on the Sword No. 1 oil well has been cancelled and will be rescheduled.
