Independent sets gas production record
Petroleum News Staff
Canadian independent Talisman Energy set a North American gas production record of 870 million cubic feet per day for the company during the first quarter, bolstered by six successful wells in the deeper portion of the Alberta Foothills where output is now 125 million to 130 million cubic feet per day. Talisman plans to spend C$1 billion on North American exploration and development this year, over 80 percent targeted at gas prospects. It will participate in 590 wells, 10 of them in the U.S.
