BLM to host information meeting on proposed NPR-A regulations

Petroleum News Alaska Staff

The U.S. Department of the Interior Bureau of Land Management will host an information meeting June 2 to answer questions about proposed changes in oil and gas operational procedures in the National Petroleum Reserve-Alaska from 9-11 a.m. in room 154 in the Anchorage Federal Building.

BLM published a proposed rule on unitization, suspensions and subsurface storage agreements that relate to oil and gas activities in the NPR-A in the Federal Register on April 26 and would add these provisions to the BLM’s existing oil and gas regulations.

The proposed regulations can be viewed on the BLM web page at www.ak.blm.gov.
