Oil Patch Bits: Duke named new Doyon Ltd. chief financial officer

Doyon Ltd. said Feb. 6 that Patrick W. Duke has been named its new senior vice president and chief financial officer.

Duke was previously the CFO at Cook Inlet Region Inc., where he had worked since 2006. Prior to that, he spent 13 years working in various financial and accounting roles at Sealaska Corp. in Juneau. Born and raised in Southcentral Alaska, Duke is a Sealaska and Ahtna shareholder.

Duke holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Gonzaga University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst charter holder. He serves on the boards of directors of Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Alaska and The CIRI Foundation, and is the former chairman of the Blood Bank of Alaska.

“I feel very fortunate that he has joined our senior management,” said Doyon President and CEO Aaron M. Schutt. “His expertise and financial knowledge will help guide the growth of our corporation.”

Duke assumed the position vacated by previous Doyon CFO Daniel “Toby” Osborn, who left the corporation to do missionary work for his church.
