Parker moving to Houston

Petroleum News Alaska

Parker Drilling Co. said Jan. 24 that it will relocate its headquarters to Houston. The company was founded in Tulsa, Okla., in 1934 and will maintain a small regional office there.

Parker said the move affects 116 employees in Tulsa, some of whom will be asked to relocate to Houston where the company currently has a regional office for Gulf of Mexico drilling operations.

Employees who are not requested to relocate to Houston or who decide to not move will be offered a severance package.
