Matthews promoted to vice president at H.C. Price Co.

H.C. Price Co., an international construction company specializing in pipeline maintenance, power and process facilities, said July 17 that David L. Matthews has been promoted to vice president and Alaska general manager.

Matthews started his pipeline and heavy mechanical construction career in Alaska in 1975 on the trans-Alaska pipeline. He joined H.C. Price in 1981 and after three years as a field engineer and project engineer he was promoted to project manager, a position he held until 1998 when he became general manager of the Alaska division.

Matthews is a resident of Anchorage and Homer with a degree in civil engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla. He is on the board of directors for the Resource Development Council for Alaska and the Alaska Support Industry Alliance.
