Oil patch bits: The Alliance congratulates newly elected board members

The Alaska Support Industry Alliance said Oct. 27 that it congratulates its new board mmembers who were elected at its Annual Meeting on October 23rd. New board members are: Stephanie Merritt, Matson; Renee Huntman, Halliburton; Darci Ahlin-Stieren, Fairweather; Rob Knox, NANAWorley; Greg Miller, Cruz Construction Alaska; Matt Melton, US Ecology/Republic Services; Keith Patterson, Inlet Energy.
This year, the Alliance had a record number of candidates for the board, with 16 running for seven seats.
Board members of the Alliance are leaders in the oil, gas, and mineral resource industries. The number one priority for the Alliance is to advocate on behalf of its members to the oil, gas, and mining producing and exploring companies. Board members facilitate this priority by focusing on improving the business climate for the support industry by communicating with legislators and the administration in Juneau, educating the general public about the support industry and issues that affect it, serving on committees, and participating in and supporting Alliance events throughout the year. These events are prime networking opportunities for all members of the Alliance.
Additionally, board members review industry issues, voice Alliance positions, and develop strategies to improve and empower our organization. An individual may serve a maximum of two consecutive 3-year terms on the board.
