Nabors Alaska and its employees pledge $109,440 to United Way

Petroleum News Alaska Staff

Nabors Alaska Drilling and its employees have committed to give $109,440 to the United Way of Anchorage.

“Nabors has significantly increased their campaign this year. They are now one of 15-16 key corporate sponsors for 2001,” said Fred Jenkins, associate executive director of United Way of Anchorage.

Of the total pledged, more than $75,000 is directly from Nabors employees; the balance will be matched by the company, Nabors said.

Jenkins commended Nabors workers for their generosity: “Performance and commitment like this are indicative of what makes Anchorage such a giving community, one of the most giving cities in the country.”
