On Oct. 13, Oil Search (Alaska), Santos Ltd.'s operating subsidiary in Alaska and operator of the North Slope Quokka unit, received a Corrected Notice regarding the State of Alaska leases included in the unit from the Division of Oil and Gas, which is part of the Alaska Department of Natural Resources.

On Aug. 10, 2022, the division issued a notice for the formation of the Quokka unit, listing the leases committed entirely to the unit.

The notice described lease actions reflecting the approval of the application to form the Quokka unit, as well as the findings and decision of the Director issued on June 22, 2022.

The 2022 notice incorrectly described oil and gas lease ADL 393639 as committed to the Quokka unit. ADL 393642, which should have been committed to the unit, was omitted.

The Oct. 13 Corrected Notice said that division records will be updated to reflect corrections to oil and gas lease numbers and unit tracts.

The Corrected Notice was signed by Allen R. Eddy Jr., Petroleum Land Manager.
