Oil Patch Bits: Burke new manager for UIC Oil and Gas Support Services
UIC Oil and Gas Support Services has announced Keith Burke as its new manager. He brings several years of oil and gas experience from Alaska’s North Slope and Sakhalin, Russia. Burke has more than 30 years of experience working in the oil and gas industry with Alyeska Pipeline Services Co., the Alaska Support Industry Alliance, Natchiq Sakhalin LLC and CCI Inc.
His previous work included: managing operations and maintenance of the trans-Alaska oil pipeline and terminal; creating a joint venture between an Alaska Native corporation subsidiary and Russia-based corporations securing high-value industry support contracts; and providing services to environmental, construction, oil field and government sectors. Most recently, Burke worked in the health and intellectual property industries developing business systems and processes to improve day-to-day efficiencies and effectiveness.
Burke was born and raised on a farm in the small town of Roseburg, Oregon. He says he came to Alaska in 1975 and never looked back. He enjoys being outdoors, hunting, fishing, hiking and golfing during his free time. He is married to his wife Joy and has one daughter and grandson living in Oregon. He is excited about coming to work for UIC Oil and Gas Support Services and looks forward to meeting everyone.
