Revised regulations in effect for AOGCC

The Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation adopted comprehensive revisions of its regulations on Sept. 29. The revisions were filed by the lieutenant governor Oct. 8 and became effective Nov. 7.

In addition, on Sept. 15 the commission adopted a new regulation dealing with certain lessees’ agreements to use their best efforts to hire residents and contact with firms in the state. This new regulation was filed by the lieutenant governor on Nov. 1 and became effective Dec. 1.

Both of these sets of regulation changes will be published in Alaska Administrative Register 152 in January. Prior to publication, copies of the regulation changes may be obtained from the AOGCC at 3001 Porcupine Dr., Anchorage, AK 99501-3192, telephone (907) 279-1433.
