Arctic Oil & Gas Directory: Golder’s Krzewinski elected ASCE Region 8 governor
Golder Associates Inc. said Aug. 29 that Thomas Krzewinski, PE, DGE, FASCE, a principal and senior geotechnical engineering consultant at Golder, has been elected American Society of Civil Engineers Region 8 governor for the 2011-14 term. ASCE Region 8 encompasses the states of Alaska, Hawaii, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Utah and Arizona. There are a eight governors in the region, each serving a 3-year term.
Krzewinski’s role as governor will be to serve as a conduit between the ASCE board of directors, its committees and the local ASCE sections and branches. He will also serve as a spokesman for the civil engineering profession at the regional and local level.
Krzewinski will chair the next International Symposium of Cold Region Development Symposium in 2013, which will be held in Anchorage and sponsored by ASCE. He has contributed more than 30 engineering publications as primary or co-author and made presentations at almost all of the 14 ASCE cold regions engineering specialty conferences held since 1980.
