Treadwell named to NLGA committee
The National Lieutenant Governors Association recently appointed Alaska Lt. Governor Mead Treadwell on its State Strategies in Energy Committee, a national policy group.
“I’m honored to serve NLGA and my fellow lieutenant governors in this capacity,” Treadwell said in a statement. “As Alaskans, we know energy. We know what it takes to develop resources responsibly. And we know how vital both fossil fuels and renewable energy sources are to our state’s economy, and the national economy as well.”
The committee covers national energy and the environment policy issues.
“Energy has been a top issue for all lieutenant governors for years and this committee will facilitate the continued exchange of shared experience and insight on the topic,” NLGA Director Julia Hurst said in a statement. “This role recognizes Lt. Governor Treadwell as an expert contact for NLGA and to his peers on energy issues.”
