Tesoro closes on purchase of BP crude oil pipeline

Tesoro Petroleum Corp. said Nov. 2 that it has closed on the purchase from BP p.l.c. of the North Dakota-based, common carrier crude oil pipeline and gathering system that is the primary crude supply source for Tesoro's Mandan, N.D., refinery, recently acquired from BP. The closing was effective Nov. 1.

Tesoro said the $90 million transaction completes Tesoro's purchase of certain refining and marketing assets from BP.
