Zimmerman joins Evergreen Resources as vice president

Evergreen Resources Inc. said Feb. 4 that it has hired J. Scott Zimmerman as vice president of operations and engineering, a newly created position.

The company said Zimmerman was previously vice president-energy sector for JM Huber Corp., where he has been employed since 1982, specializing in coalbed methane exploration and development in the Rocky Mountain region. Prior to joining Huber, Zimmerman was a production engineer and reservoir engineer with Amoco Production Co.

Zimmerman received a bachelor of science degree in petroleum engineering from Texas Tech.
