Shell Arctic rigs may winter in Seattle
Shell Oil’s Arctic drilling rigs and barges may use the Port of Seattle as a winter port.
The port commission approved an agreement Jan. 13 over the objections of environmentalists who oppose drilling in the Arctic.
KUOW reports (http://bit.ly/1ynyfSN) port staff will negotiate a lease expected to bring the port up to $28 million.
