PETROLEUM DIRECTORY: Alaska Bear Guards provides professional wildlife security personnel

Fairbanks-based Renew Air’s parent corporation, Renew Inc., has started a new company which offers companies professional bear and moose security personnel services and all the bear protection materials employees working the Alaska’s Bush might need.

Alaska Bear Guards offers everything from trained bear protection personnel who will accompany customers’ employees in the field to bear resistant containers to electric fences to pepper sprays, and more.

According to its web site (www.alaskabearguards.com) the Alaska owned company’s mission is: “To protect workers lives by being the leading provider of bear and moose security personnel for companies and organizations that do remote work in Bush Alaska. To protect our wildlife by  providing all the necessary bear resistant supplies that will protect your personnel, valuable materials, equipment and the bears themselves from harm.”

Alaska Bear Guards is run by Bob Wener, a Licensed Alaska Master Hunting Guide who has hunted and viewed bears in Alaska for 30 years.

Wener and his associates “have extensive knowledge of bear behavior and understand if a bear is a danger in any given circumstance,” the company web site says.

To reach Alaska Bear Guards call toll free (888) 684-0177 or in Fairbanks, 457-7287.
