Detector Electronics Corp., also known as Det-Tronics, has announced that Engineered Fire and Safety has become the exclusive representative in Alaska for sales and support of the Det-Tronics range of fire and gas safety systems. Both companies are owned by Kidde PLC, a global supplier of safety products and fire detection and protection systems and services.

Alaska-based Engineered Fire and Safety specializes in the supply, installation and support of fire detection systems, fire suppression systems, security systems and safety equipment.

Det-Tronics, based in Minneapolis, manufactures fire, gas, safety and suppression systems.

The new relationship between Det-Tronics and Engineered Fire and Safety will provide customers “with a local single-source supplier for fire, gas and safety system solutions with the already proven success of Detector Electronics safety systems expertise,” Det-Tronics said.
