AOGA announces new officers for 1999/2000

On May 24, Judy Brady, executive director of Alaska Oil and Gas Association, announced some of the organization’s new officers at a jointly held Anchorage Chamber of Commerce and AOGA luncheon.

Kevin Meyers, president of ARCO Alaska Inc. will serve as AOGA’s new president, replacing Richard Campbell, president of BP Exploration (Alaska) Inc., and Mark Hanley of Anadarko Petroleum Co. was elected as first vice president. Randy Newcomer, of Williams Alaska Petroleum Co. and Richard Campbell are AOGA’s second vice presidents, and James Branch of Exxon Co., USA will serve as treasurer. The officers’ terms run from July 1 to June 30.

Ardie Gray, AOGA’s public affairs manager said that attendance at the luncheon was comparable to past events. “It was good attendance in view of the reduction in staffing levels within the oil industry,” she said.
