No substantial new Cook Inlet information

The Alaska Division of Oil and Gas issued a decision Jan. 20 of no substantial new information for the 2015 Cook Inlet areawide lease sale.

In the decision Paul Decker, the division’s acting director, said comments submitted in response to a call for new information had been considered, and those comments did not provide substantial new information justifying a supplement to the Cook Inlet final finding.

Sales have been held annually since 2009 under the finding for the 2009-18 Cook Inlet areawide oil and gas lease sales, with supplements to the finding issued in 2010 and 2011.

The call for new information was issued Oct. 9; reconsideration requests to the commissioner of the Department of Natural Resources from eligible persons must be received within 20 calendar days after the issuance of the decision.
