‘Meet Alaska’ set for Jan. 6 at Dena’ina
The Alaska Support Industry Alliance’s annual energy conference, “Meet Alaska,” will be Jan. 6 at the Dena’ina Civic and Convention Center in Anchorage.
The theme of the conference is “Ride the Resource Rollercoaster,” and there will be speakers on “The Thrill of Rising Exploration,” “The Plunge of Decreased Production” and “The Gravitational Pull of Federal Permitting,” The Alliance said Dec. 14.
Presenters include Jeff Watkins, chairman of coal for Wood Mackenzie; Ed Merrow, author of “Industrial Mega Projects”; Marianne Kah, chief economist, ConocoPhillips; John Minge, president, BP Exploration (Alaska); Arthur Berman, energy sector consultant/shale gas plays expert; and Commissioner Cathy Foerster of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission.
Early bird registration is available until Dec. 21 with prices ranging from $250-300; after Dec. 21 registration will be $275-325.
