Clarification
A story in the Oct. 5 issue of Petroleum News failed to make clear that China National Offshore Oil Corp. is paying $348 million for a 25 percent stake in Australia's North West Shelf gas project. The deal came after the North West Shelf participants agreed to supply 3.3 million tons per year over 25 years to the first phase of China's Guangdong liquefied natural gas project.
