Chef of the Year moves to Hilton

Alaska Chef of the Year Victor Schmidt joined the Hilton Anchorage in April as the hotel’s executive chef.

Schmidt is an American Culinary Association certified chef with 20 years experience in the Alaskan culinary scene. He was named food and beverage manager of the year by the Alaska Hotel Motel Association in addition to chef of the year honors.

The hotel also named Shawn Dixon as assistant food and beverage director.
