Hansen sidetrack at Cosmopolitan complete

ConocoPhillips Alaska has completed the sidetrack to its Hansen well at the Cosmopolitan prospect north of Anchor River on Alaska's Kenai Peninsula.

Both the original well and the sidetrack were drilled from an onshore pad in section 2, township 4 south, range 15 west, Seward Meridian, to bottomhole locations out under Cook Inlet in section 32-T3S-R15W, SM, west-northwest of the onshore pad.

Forest Oil, which is a partner in the well, said May 9 that the sidetrack was nearing total depth.

ConocoPhillips said May 14 that drilling operations are complete at Hansen and evaluation is under way.
