Petroleum News Alaska Staff

For the third time in four years, Aurora Power Resources Inc. has been named one of the 100 fastest growing privately held corporations based in Houston, Texas.

Aurora said Oct. 2 that it placed 64 as a result of its growth in sales over a three-year period from $10.4 million in 1998 to $27.3 million in 2000.

Aurora placed fifth on the list in 1997 and 41st in 1999.

Aurora’s President and Chief Operating Officer, G. Scott Pfoff, also said that cumulative revenue for Aurora, since the company’s inception in 1994, had exceeded $100 million as of September 2001. “We are very proud of our accomplishments to date and look forward to continuing the pursuit of energy related opportunities, primarily in the Cook Inlet of Alaska,” Pfoff said.
