Helena Energy forms agreement with Enstar

Helena Energy LLC, a new Southcentral Alaska natural gas marketing and transportation company, has entered into a firm transportation agreement with Enstar Natural Gas Co. for the shipment of gas through Enstar’s gas pipeline system, according to a tariff advice that Enstar filed with the Regulatory Commission of Alaska. Helena is taking over the gas delivery services previously conducted by Aurora Gas LLC, Enstar told the commission.

Bruce Webb, president of Helena Energy, told Petroleum News in a June 7 email that Helena purchases gas from Cook Inlet producers and resells the gas to a limited number of commercial customers that are connected to Enstar’s gas distribution system. Currently Helena purchases all of its gas from Aurora Gas, Webb said. Aurora Gas operates five gas fields, onshore the west side of the Cook Inlet.

Helena is owned by Aletco Ltd., a company based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Webb said.
