Arctic Oil & Gas Directory: Doyon names Aaron Schutt new president and CEO
The Doyon Ltd. board of directors said Sept. 10 that it has appointed Aaron Schutt as its new president and CEO. Schutt will assume the duties effective Oct. 1 and replaces Norman L. Phillips Jr. who recently announced his retirement from the company.
Schutt currently serves as Doyon’s senior vice president and COO, overseeing the company’s numerous subsidiary operations in Alaska and across the United States.
“Aaron is well prepared to step up to this important leadership position in our company. He understands our businesses, he knows the people, and he has what it takes to lead us toward our goals. We are confident he’ll hit the ground running,” said Orie Williams, chairman of the Doyon Ltd. board of directors.
Schutt has been with Doyon since 2006. Prior to joining Doyon, he worked as an attorney in a private practice and holds a juris doctorate from Stanford Law School, a master’s degree in civil engineering from Stanford University and graduated with honors and as an S. Town Stephenson scholar with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Washington State University.
