December crude production down

Alaska North Slope crude and natural gas production averaged 1,197,152 barrels a day in December, down 0.3 percent from an average of 1,141,681 barrels a day in November.

Production held level at Prudhoe Bay, averaging 607,414 barrels a day for December, up 0.06 percent from November’s average production of 607,038 barrels a day. Prudhoe Bay NGL production averaged 59,566 barrels a day, up 0.6 percent from November’s average of 59,224 barrels a day.

At Kuparuk River, the North Slope’s second largest field, production averaged 265,512 barrels a day in December, up 0.6 percent from a November average of 263,927 barrels a day.

Lisburne, which processes oil from the Point McIntyre, Niakuk and Lisburne fields, averaged 161,496 barrels a day in December, up 0.3 percent from an average 161,012 barrels a day for November.

Production was down at both Milne Point and Endicott. Milne Point production averaged 52,357 barrels a day in December, down 6.4 percent from an average of 55,951 barrels a day in November. At Endicott, December production averaged 50,807 barrels a day, down 5.5 percent from November’s average of 53,753 barrels a day.

Cook Inlet production averaged 32,630 barrels a day, down 0.5 percent from an average of 32,478 barrels a month for November.
