Mining News: Northern Neighbors: Golden Predator extends high-grade gold at 3 Aces

Golden Predator Mining Corp. March 31 said it has collected 750 tons of gold-quartz vein material from the Sleeping Giant vein at its 3 Aces project in the Yukon Territory. Identifying visible gold mineralization in the lowest bench of the bulk sample program, the company has initiated a reverse circulation drill program to test the expansion of this high-grade gold to depth and along strike. The Sleeping Giant zone, which can be accessed via an exploration dirt road from the Nahanni Range Road in southeastern Yukon, encompasses roughly 33,000 square meters (8.15 acres) as defined by float and outcrops of quartz veins. The Sleeping Giant vein, as exposed at surface, contains coarse visible gold. A multi-phase 2016 bulk sample program is being undertaken to accurately determine the grade, distribution, and metallurgical aspects of this mineralization. The exact tonnage of the first phase of this sampling, now collected, will be determined upon weighing during the processing phase. Final arrangements are being made for the processing of the bulk sample. The RC drilling, which began on March 25, is testing down-dip and along strike of the bulk sampled portion of the Sleeping Giant vein. Trenching to the north-east revealed a slightly offset portion of the vein which has been exposed over roughly 20 meters. Visible gold was noted in two locations within the north-eastern extension. Additional field work is planned across the property to determine the extent and potential for additional occurrences of high-grade gold.
