MMS Outer Continental Shelf Policy Committee to meet in Girdwood

The Minerals Management Service’s OCS Policy Committee will hold its spring meeting at the Alyeska Prince Hotel in Girdwood May 26 and 27. The committee advises the MMS director and the secretary of the Department of the Interior on the offshore management of the nation’s natural gas and oil, mineral resources and other issues.

The committee is composed of representatives from coastal states, the oil and gas industries, the environmental community and other constituents. Jerome Selby, former borough mayor of Kodiak, was recently elected to a two-year term as committee chairman.
