Legislators appointed to gasline policy council

Alaska Senate President Rick Halford and Speaker of the House Brian Porter have joined members the administration as ex officio members of the Alaska Highway Natural Gas Policy Council.

Gov. Tony Knowles announced the appointments April 2. The council was created by administrative order at the end of January. It has been meeting in workshop sessions in Anchorage and began taking public testimony in Fairbanks April 18.
