Oil Patch Bits: Kirsten Ballard and Sharron Johnson join Nortech team

Petroleum News

Nortech said recently that it is pleased to welcome Kirsten Ballard, Sharron Johnson and the staff and resources of Arctic Regulatory Compliance and Technical Oilfield Services into its Anchorage office. Ballard and Arctos will expand Nortech’s existing state-wide environmental engineering and HSE consulting services with her expertise in bulk petroleum storage tank management, contingency planning, and incident management.

“My staff and I will continue to provide the excellent regulatory compliance support you have come to expect across an expanded range of services,” said Kirsten Ballard.

Ballard has worked in the environmental field since 1988 both as a private consultant and a regulator. Her experience gives her and her clients a unique advantage when it comes to regulatory compliance. Prior to joining Nortech, she was responsible for all aspects of Arctos operations over the last 11 years.

Sharron Johnson has worked as a technical editor and program manager since 2007. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in IT Management and holds a Master Microsoft Office Specialist certification, as well as experience with Java, JSP, XML and C/C++. She assists in both editing material and organizing a peer editing process. She can provide technical assistance to writers in areas such as FrameMaker, HTML, Astoria Workbench, HTML editor, Doc-To-Help, RoboHelp and Microsoft Word, as well as converting documents for publication.
