AOGCC sets Meltwater hearing

Phillips Alaska Inc. has applied to the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission for an area injection order and pool rules for the Meltwater oil pool at Kuparuk.

The commission has scheduled a hearing for 9 a.m. May 7, and will accept written comments prior to the meeting.

Phillips is building the pad, road, pipelines and power line for Meltwater this winter and plans to have the field in operation in the fourth quarter.
