Entitled, “Geotechnical Aspects of Saline Permafrost and Cryopegs,” Volkov’s presentation will focus on the complex nature of coastal and offshore permafrost, which is of critical importance to Alaska’s existing and planned infrastructure on the North Slope and outer continental shelf. Those registered for the AIPG Conference can attend this talk on Sept. 22 at 1:30 pm.
On Sept. 25, Fugro’s Alaska office will host a lunch-and-learn seminar with Volkov.
