Sugg named to head Phillips’ new worldwide gas organization

Phillips Petroleum Co. said April 10 that Laura Sugg has been elected vice president of worldwide gas, effective April 1.

The new position is part of the company’s new worldwide gas organization, which Phillips said was created “to further improve the focus and execution of the company’s worldwide gas strategy.”

Sugg, 40, was previously new business ventures manager in the company’s corporate strategy and development group. She joined Phillips in 1986 after working for Sohio Petroleum Co.
