New generation of Hytorc tools available

Amy Marie Armstrong

PNA Correspondent

A new generation of Hytorc tools used for turning nuts and bolts is now available from Pacific Rim Hytorc in Shelton, Wash.

Kevin Campbell, a direct factory representative, said Hytorc now offers a five-year unlimited warranty on certain models of tools including the MXT-SA and the XLCT-SA hydraulic torque wrenches.

“We used to only offer a one-year warranty,” Campbell said. “But Hytorc made enough changes that we are now confident enough in these new generation tools to extend that warranty to five years.”

The changes include use of higher strength alloys in the housing and internal components of the hydraulic tools.

“The speed of the tools has increased slightly,” Campbell said, adding that the new pumps are lighter in weight.

Campbell said the wrenches weighing between 30 and 40 pounds are easily handled by one hand.

“We hope people will like the next generation of an already existing tool,” Campbell said. But he also quickly points out that “this represents an improvement in technology and not just a rehashing” of what is already in use.

To reach Campbell directly, phone 888-459-5900 or fax to 888-459-5901. His territory includes Washington, Oregon, British Columbia, the Yukon, Hawaii and Alaska. To learn more about Hytorc tools, visit their website at www.hytorc.com.
