Fairweather Geophysical applies to shoot East Kenai 2D seismic

Petroleum News Alaska Staff

Fairweather Geophysical/Veritas DGC has applied to the state to shoot 30 line miles of two-dimensional seismic immediately northwest of Soldotna within townships 4 and 5 north, ranges 10 and 11 west, Seward Meridian.

Application is for a 2D seismic survey using a combination of vibrators and explosive energy sources over four to six weeks early in the year. Most areas are expected to be accessible with four-wheeled vibrators. Other areas will be drilled from an auger with 20-25 foot holes to be loaded with 4.4 pound charges.
