Mining News: Northern Neighbors: Final holes adds zinc-lead to Cardiac Creek

Canada Zinc Metals Corp. Dec. 2 reported results from two holes targeting the high-grade zinc-lead-silver system in the central core of the Cardiac Creek deposit on the Akie property in northern British Columbia. Hole A-15-30, which tested the down-dip extents of the high grade-core, cut 34.03 meters averaging 3.47 percent zinc, 0.65 percent lead and 7.01 grams per metric ton silver, including 12.5 meters averaging 6.97 percent zinc, 1.38 percent lead and 12.84 g/t silver. Hole A-15-131, which targeted the up-dip extension of the high-grade core, cut 21.17 meters averaging 5.45 percent zinc, 1.19 percent lead and 10.89 g/t silver, including 9.74 meters averaging 8.22 percent zinc, 1.61 percent lead and 16 g/t silver. Canada Zinc has now reported results from all eight holes (5,350 meters) drilled at Cardiac Creek in 2015. Canada Zinc President and CEO Peeyush Varshney said, “The 2015 drilling has expanded the known limits of the high-grade core in the down-dip direction by about 75 to 100 meters. Excellent results, such as 17.06 percent combined zinc-lead over 12.98 meters in A-15-121 and 17.2 percent combined zinc-lead over 11.09 meters in A-15-124 were highlights of the drill program.”
