Rodell selected to head Permanent Fund
The Alaska Permanent Fund Corp. board of trustees selected Angela Rodell as chief executive officer at a special meeting held via teleconference Oct. 9. The selection is contingent on successful negotiation of a salary and benefits package.
Rodell served as commissioner of the Department of Revenue under Gov. Sean Parnell, and her duties as commissioner included holding a seat on the corporation’s board of trustees.
Rodell moved to Alaska in 2011 to take the position of deputy commissioner at Revenue, overseeing the Treasury Division, prior to her appointment as commissioner in 2013.
Prior to joining the state, Rodell had more than 20 years of finance experience in the public and private sector, primarily focused on debt issuance and capital financing plans. She holds a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Kentucky and a Bachelor of Arts in political science and economics from Marquette University.
Rodell resides in Juneau.
The corporation said the selection follows candidate interviews held Oct. 7. The CEO position became open when Mike Burns retired effective June 1.
