Scott Ogan leaves hospital

Petroleum News Alaska Staff

Rep. Scott Ogan, R-Palmer, was discharged from Providence Alaska Medical Center April 6 and is recuperating at home.

Ogan’s release came three weeks after he suffered a heart attack at his Palmer home. He will begin cardiac rehabilitation and hopes to return to the Legislature in early May.

Surgeons implanted a defibrillator/pacemaker in his heart to help monitor and support his heart functions. The device, in combination with the placement of two stints, is part of his physicians’ response to his heart attack March 16.
