BP applies for miscible injection

Petroleum News Alaska Staff

BP Exploration (Alaska) Inc. has applied to the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission for an amendment to an area injection order for the Kuparuk oil pool at Milne Point for injection of miscible hydrocarbon liquids for enhanced oil recovery operations.

The commission set a tentative hearing for Sept. 11 and will also accept written comments through that date. A hearing may be requested through Sept. 3. The commission said that if it receives no such requests it will consider the issuance of an order without a hearing.
