NANA Training Systems hires HSET, environmental managers

NANA Training Systems, a subsidiary of NANA Regional Corp., said in mid-May that it has hired Ira Doty as its health, safety, environmental and training (HSET) development manager. Linda Olson-Freeman has joined the Anchorage-based company as an environmental project manager.
NANA Training said Doty will work with clients to deliver safety and health consulting services, develop and market new training courses and provide internal support for NANA business units.
A safety engineer with nearly three decades of insurance, safety and property/casualty experience, NANA Training said Doty was most recently employed by Peak Oilfield Services and is a former vice president of loss control with Alaska National Insurance Company. He is a member of the Alaska chapter of the American Society of Safety Professionals.
The company said Olson-Freeman will be involved with the marketing and operations of the environmental services offered by NANA Training. Her duties will include consulting, project management, site remediation and spill response team staffing.
She will also assist in new course development for NANA Training and assist internal NANA business units with their environmental needs.
A geologist by training, NANA Training said Olson-Freeman has over a dozen years of training, environmental consulting and environmental site/project management experience. She has worked all over the state of Alaska as an environmental geologist and has many years experience working for the U.S. Coast Guard, Air Force, Army and private industry.
NANA Training provides health, safety and environmental training and consulting services. It is a licensed provider for North Slope Cooperative Training.
