Arctic Directory: TOTE Logistics and Carlile announce new key positions
TOTE Logistics Inc., parent company of Carlile Transportation Systems, on July 1 announced two new company leadership positions.
John Armstrong has accepted the vice president, logistics position for Carlile. Armstrong joins Carlile from sister company Alta Logistics, where he was the director of logistics. He has extensive leadership, operations and logistical supply chain management experience and is looking forward to growing Carlile’s business on all levels. Armstrong is familiar with both the Alaska and Pacific Northwest markets, having worked in Alaska for many years. He will be based in Tacoma, Wash.
Gene Carlson has accepted the vice president, trucking operations position with Carlile. Carlson previously held the position of vice president of special projects for Carlile. In his new position he will be overseeing the heavy haul, equipment repair and maintenance, line haul and bulk departments. Carlson has far-reaching experience in the industry and is looking forward to the new opportunities this position brings to implement successful transportation strategies, strengthening the company’s supply chain and improving service and will be based in Anchorage, Alaska.
