Phillips Petroleum Co. and Marathon Oil Co. celebrated a milestone of trade between Alaska and Japan Oct. 19.
When the Arctic Sun, an 87,500 cubic-meter tanker, left its berth at Nikiski Harbor it was the 1,000th shipment of liquefied natural gas from the Cook Inlet bound for the Far East.
